Traffic FAQ Answer to: How can I find out the status of my traffic violation?

Your citation is usually entered in the court system 4 - 8 weeks after you receive it. Once the citation is in our system you will receive a courtesy notice outlining your options.

Click to check citation processing status online to find out if your citation is in the Court's system yet. (You can't pay your fine or take care of your citation until it is in the Court's system.)

For more information on courtesy notices and options, see the section on Courtesy Notices on the page "How Do I Take Care of my Traffic Ticket" at this website.

To look up your particular citation the Court requires additional information to help you. If you have your copy of the citation, send us a photocopy. The citation lists all the information we need. If you don't have a copy then send us your name, date of birth, driver's license number, date of issuance, the police agency who issued you the citation and the violation.

If you have your copy of the citation there should be a telephone number listed you can call during normal business hours to obtain more information about your citation. (First, check the citation processing status online.)
