Small Claims FAQ Answer to: How should I prepare for my Small Claims case hearing?

Our self service site has a number of pages regarding Small Claims Court, including one on preparing for your day in court - see  the "Preparing for Your Day in Court" page. The Court's Small Claims Advisor may be of help to you. For more on this see the "Resources and Referrals" page. You can call the Small Claims Advisor between 2:30 pm and 5;00 pm, Mon through Fri. 408-370-4440, menu option 6.

We have a Public Access website where you can look up your case, by party name, case number, etc. This site lists calendared events, involved parties, and documents.

Small Claims cases are heard in Los Gatos, Palo Alto, and San Martin. You can get directions by clicking on the courthouse name on our courthouse page at the main court site.
