Family FAQ Answer to: How can I find the Family Law form I need?

In Family Law, the Order to Show Cause forms are located at the state court site.

There are a number of them, so you would need to select the one that fits your situation. There isn't a step by step process for "how to file an order to show cause."

In some legal situations, the forms required are specific and easy to provide links to. In other situations, there is no single answer or form that fits without knowing more information. In those cases we would recommend you check with an attorney, or visit our Self Service Office in downtown San Jose.

Read about free or low-cost legal aid on the Family "Resources and Referrals" page.
